Muddy Desktop

Muddy Desktop represents a new approach to collaborative browsing, designed specifically for teams who need to work together on web-based projects. The interface focuses on creating shared workspaces where team members can browse, annotate, and collaborate in real-time.

The design emphasizes simplicity and clarity, ensuring that the collaborative features enhance rather than complicate the browsing experience. Key considerations included maintaining familiar browser functionality while introducing innovative sharing and collaboration tools.

The product design process involved extensive user research with teams across different industries, understanding their collaborative needs and pain points when working with web-based tools and content.

Muddy is a multiplayer browser designed to enhance team collaboration by allowing users to create shared views with their favourite apps. It seamlessly integrates web browsing, messaging, and AI-driven insights to support ambitious teams in achieving their goals. My role in the project was to help craft a cohesive and intuitive user experience across both desktop and mobile platforms while also establishing a unique visual identity and contributing to a high-impact launch campaign. As a pioneering product in the space of collaborative browsing, Muddy needed a design that facilitated real-time team interactions while also conveying its innovative, forward-thinking vision. The challenge was to create a fluid, user-friendly interface that made complex collaboration features feel simple and accessible, while maintaining a consistent visual identity across devices.

I designed the first version of the desktop app, concentrating on developing an intuitive and visually clean interface that prioritised collaboration without overwhelming users. The design needed to support multiple team members working within shared views simultaneously, while ensuring ease of navigation across apps. It was important to strike a balance between functionality and minimalism, making sure that key features like messaging, file sharing, and app integration were easily accessible.
